Frequently Asked Questions

How can I order?
Choose your product and click on the "in shopping cart" button. The product of your choice is now in the shopping cart. You can opt for further shopping or to check out. You will be asked to enter your address details if you choose to pay now. Entering a different delivery address is possible. Then click on checkout. Select your preferred payment method and pay for your order. If you opted for an online payment method, we are able to see immediately whether the payment was successful. You will receive an order confirmation shortly afterwards. Have you opted for a manual bank transfer. Then it will take 2 working days before we can see the payment.

Do I have to pay in advance?
Yes, we ask you to pay in advance, which is possible in different ways with different debit and credit cards. PayPal is available as well.

Does the web shop have a quality mark so that I can order safely and reliably?
www.dutch-plants.com is affiliated with various agencies and banks and carries the European Emota quality mark so that we can provide you a safe and confident online shopping experience.

How can I contact your customer service?
We can only be contacted by email.  Please send us your questions as detailed as possible. If you have ordered a product or have additional questions. Please mention the order number or the invoice number in your email.

Can I email my questions in any language? 
Yes, you can email questions in any language. A good translation program assists us in replying to you.

When will my order be shipped?
Of course we strive to send your order as soon as possible. We receive immediate confirmation of online payments when the payment is successful. If you have opted for a manual transfer, it will take up to 2 business days before we can see your payment.

Who is providing transport?
We ourselves arrange transport and work together with various international transport companies.

When will my order be delivered?
When your order is received, you will get an email with details and explanation.
Please note it concerns an international shipment with large International trucks. The average delivery time is between 5 and 7 working days.

I am a business customer with a valid VAT number. Can I make a purchase intra-community?
Yes, we offer this possibility. Send an email with all your company details to be checked by us. Ordering online for an intra-community purchase is not possible. Once we have checked your details, you will receive an invoice without VAT according to international law.

Delivery of Plants:
All deliveries are made on pallets and made using third party companies from one of our preferred pallet delivery networks. There are no times given and delivery will be between 8.30am and 5.30pm (very occasionally it might be later due to traffic conditions)

If your products are to be delivered direct to home/site, please note it will be a kerb side delivery only and be aware of the following restrictions:
1.It is essential that the drivers can manoeuvre in and out and that the route is clear of obstructions and overhead power cables.
2.We cannot accept responsibility for damage to private land when unloading, as the driver will be unloading under your instruction and with your permission.
3.You must ensure that the delivery area is safe, level and hard, to take the weight of a pallet truck carrying up to a maximum of 1 tonne in weight.
4.We will be unable to deliver and unload your delivery if on an incline, as the driver will be unable to push the pallet truck up or down from the tail lift.
5.Our driver will not be able to move your goods far from the vehicle.
6.We cannot deliver onto cobbles, gravel or uneven surfaces.
7.If the floor surface is either of these or deemed unsafe, the pallet and goods will be left at the nearest available safe delivery point.
8.Please advise of any constraints which may restrict access to your address for our delivery vehicles.

Delivery Address:
If you would rather your order be delivered to an address which is different from your billing address, please indicate this during checkout.

Incorrect Address:
If the address is incorrect, the package will be returned to the delivery depot. Please check your delivery address carefully when placing an order. We cannot accept any liability for incorrect delivery instructions or damage to the goods as a result of incorrect delivery instructions.

Returning:
You are entitled to cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt, without a statement of reasons. You have another 14 days after cancellation to return your product. You will then be refunded the full order amount, including any shipping costs. You will only have to pay the costs for returning the order from your home address to Dutch-Plants.com. For the exact rates, consult your carrier's website.
If you want to use your right of withdrawal, you must return the product to us with all included accessories and ─ if reasonably possible ─ in original condition and packaging. To make use of this right, you can contact us at info@dutch-plants.com. We will then refund the order amount due within 14 days after registration of your return, provided that the product has been received in good order.
